So you are starting up your new Piper, you get to the intro video and it is dead silent. What now?
There are a couple things that could be causing your Piper’s speaker to not put out sound.
Step one:
Make sure your speaker is firmly connected to the Raspberry Pi. If it is not snug in its home it will not put out any sound.
Step two:
Check to make sure your speaker is fully charged. If your speaker is not getting charged by the provided cable, this points to your Micro-USB being defective. If it is getting charged, move on to step two.
Step three:
Try plugging your speaker into another device, such as a smart phone or MP3 player and try playing some tunes. If nothing plays, your speaker is defective. If music plays on another device and not your Piper Kit, the audio port on your Pi could be defective.
