So it is your first day with the Piper Kit. You have assembled the Kit and booted it up. You begin your experience with Piper Story Mode and… it doesn’t open. What now?
First and foremost, try restarting your Kit. This can solve a lot of issues! However, if that does not work, we can move on to the next step.
If you are still experiencing software issues, such as Piper not opening or freezing, there is a handy script you can try out. In this article we are going to go step by step through the process.
Lets begin:
1) Connect a USB keyboard and mouse to your Piper and boot it up. In the main menu, use the power icon to open the shutdown menu.
1a) If you do not have a USB keyboard, you can use the virtual keyboard.
Heres how: In the upper left corner of the screen there is a menu with a raspberry icon. Click on the menu, scroll down to "Accessories", and select "Keyboard." That will open a virtual keyboard you can use for typing.
2) Use the yellow door icon to exit to desktop.
3) From the desktop, use the top toolbar to open Terminal.
4) Type the following command into the terminal and press enter to start the repair utility. If prompted for a password, it is "piper".

Let the script do its thing and it should repair your program and get you up and running again!
