There are 3 places where you can use your Color Sensor in the Piper software: The Chameleon Giant level of StoryMode in the StarLab mission, the Color Coded PiperCode project, and in My Projects in PiperCode to creatively prototype.
In Chameleon Giant, your mission is to fill up the columns with the correct amount of a color in order to re-calibrate the eye. There is a data visualizer in the top right of your screen that an help you check to see if you’re on track.
In the PiperCode project, Color Coded, you will be coding a secret message in color. You can check to see how the computer is reading what you are scanning by clicking on the “data” tab in PiperCode.
When using your Color Sensor, make sure you put the Color Sensor directly on the colored item you want to scan so that the white line is shining on the object. If you don’t see a white light, turn on the switch.
If you have followed this guide and your Color Sensor is still not working, contact us at hi@playpiper.com and we will get it sorted out for you!
